Herb is a fir. A fir that was born and raised in a wonderful forest, surrounded by his fir family and many other trees. His best friends are Peggy Nut, Cone Sue and Mary Pine, 3 pine cones whom he has shared all his playing moments with, since they were barely sprouts. The woods are ok, but Herb always wanted more, he wanted to see the world.
Herb es un abeto. Un abeto que nació y creció en un maravilloso bosque, rodeado de su familia de abetos y muchos otros tipos de árboles. Sus mejores amigas son Peggy Nut, Cone Sue y Mary Pine, 3 piñas con las que ha compartido todos sus momentos de juegos desde que era pequeño. El bosque está muy bien, pero Herb siempre había querido más, quería conocer el mundo.
Sometimes Herb would see humans walking around his forrest. They would talk about magical places where trees wore lights, stars and other sparkling stuff. This is what he wanted! He wanted to shine!

árboles se vestían con luces, estrellas y demás cosas brillantes. Eso es lo que él quería! Brillar!
I’m going to tell you something that you might don’t know about trees. They can walk. (Only if they want to, of course). There’s only a few of them willing to move away from their habitat, but from time to time you can see one, like Herb. They take their legs out for a walk and move all over the place. Herb has very beautiful legs with striped stocking.
Os voy a contar una cosa que quizá no sabéis sobre los árboles. Ellos pueden andar. (Sólo si quieren, claro.). Son muy pocos los árboles que quieren moverse de su espacio natural, pero de vez en cuando hay algún caso como el de Herb. Entonces sacan a pasear sus piernas y se mueven a su antojo por aquí y por allá. Herb tiene unas piernas preciosas con medias a rayas blancas y rojas.
Herb has already arrived in the city with his 3 friends. He has already a star and a nice scarf, made out with Christmas lights that fits him perfectly and makes him look very stylish.. Now, the only thing left is to find a new home! Would it be yours?
