And Finally spring is here… Not everyday is sunny and warn here in Amsterdam, but when it happens… terraces bustle with people, offices get empty, supermarkets run out of wine and bread, and parks…. this is what happens in parks:
Llega por fin el primer día de primavera que hace “calor de verdad”. Las calles se llenan, las oficinas se vacían, en los supermercados se quedan sin botellas de vino y pan, y los parques…. en los parques pasa esto:
Pickles and Minus begged me and begged me to take them to the park and make a picnic. Of course I had to accept, who could say no to these faces? (I’m spoiling them, I know, but I can help it…) Pickles made some sandwiches and Minus baked cookies.
Pickles y Minus me rogaron y rogaron que les llevase al parque a hacer un picnic, y yo, claro, tuve que aceptar… quién se resiste a esas caras? (Son unos mimados, yo ya no se qué hacer…) Pickles ha preparado sandwiches y Minus ha estado horneando galletas.
They’ve also been readng for a while. Pickles lent Minus the book I gave him for Sant Jordi, and they have been talking about how much cool would be being Robinson Crusoe.
También han estado leyendo un rato en el parque. Pickles le ha prestado a Minus el libro que le regalé para Sant Jordi y han estado comentando lo mucho que molaría ser Robinson Crusoe.
It has been a wonderful day in the park, we had a great time. Maybe I’ll take them again to the park soon, they have been very good boys.
Ha sido un día maravilloso en el parque, lo hemos pasado muy bien y hasta hemos tomado el sol. Quizás les vuelva a llevar pronto, se han portado muy bien :)
